This work package aims at developing the overall theoretical framework to guide empirical hypotheses and synthesize results from the other work packages.
Its objectives are :
- To map and review key theoretical concepts (e.g. institutional work, diffusion, adaptation, decoupling etc.) in business research and organizational theory for understanding the process of how organizations respond strategically to institutional pressures and institutional change;
- To map and review key theoretical concepts in economics related to complementarities between organizational design and performance outcomes;
- Synthesize concepts into a theoretical framework allowing testable propositions for WP3 and WP4, as well as their comparative application to selected country institutional contexts in Asia and the EU.
